While in my experience with them, all of these pistols have performed well for me, but I'd steer clear of the original Ruger LCP at this point. It comes with a 10 rd mag, 12 mag rd mags are available. The Ruger LCP Max (.380) with it's double stack higher capacity mags is thicker. The Ruger LCP II that came out a few years after the original LCP has a much better trigger than the original LCP and it has a wider grip, improved stippling, slightly longer sight radius, added front serrations and some good aesthetic changes. I put one of the sleeves on my Ruger LC9S Pro (9MM), which is also a thin grip single stack pistol. An inexpensive rubber Hogue grip sleeve will help it fill the hand quite well. The Ruger LCP is intentionally thin to help with concealability. #3 Barra's customer support is first rate! Thank you.If you're familiar with 1911s and like them, you'd probably also like the metal-framed Sig P238 and Kimber Micro 380. Those screws are small and can be easily damaged by a cheap, worn-out driver. #2 In the replacement procedure, use a good quality small Phillips screwdriver. Three takeaways from this experience: #1 Don't leave cartridges installed long term if you're not using the air gun. It was a complete success, and my Schofiled is as good as new. After that familiarization, I performed the replacement as I played the video a second time. I watched it all the way through one time first before doing the procedure. Barra has an EXCELLENT step-by-step YouTube video on how to do this replacement yourself. As promised, that's exactly what happened, and I ordered two kits (one for a spare). Robert in customer service told me that they were backordered on the replacement seal kits and put me on the mailing list when they were available sometime in August. I made the mistake of leaving a cartridge installed for several months which permanently deformed the gas seal and caused a leak.
